How to use Maximo tailored to your user-level and industry-type. [Classroom, 1-on-1, and self-service options.]
Help Desk Support is a cornerstone of Banetti's services offerings. Our engineers are available around the clock to provide support that includes technical troubleshooting, applying software patches, educating users on how to perform tasks and managing access privileges. Clients with large geographically dispersed or large user bases find this technical backstop to be essential; those that run versions of Maximo no longer supported by IBM even more so.
As part of our Help Desk Support service, Banetti provides weekly and monthly performance reports. These can be used to identify the need for changes such as system enhancements, user training, and changes to the technical infrastructure. With authorization, we will implement these improvements as we continuously improve your CMMS.
- Best practice optimization for workflows.
- All SmartStart updates. As we improve SmartStart with additional features and functionality, for example additional KPIs, we will upgrade your environment to include them.
- Patch and hot-fix installation.
- Synchronization of development, testing and QA environments to minimize divergence.
- Level 1 and 2 IBM Replacement Support with license purchase through Banetti.
Enterprise software systems can often behave as living, breathing things. Over the course of time, through upgrades and enhancements, small matters can begin to compound and negatively impact system performance, user experience or the functionality of the system. This is a natural phenomenon for CMMS systems. Banetti provides its HealthCheck service as a natural part of the system lifecycle to keep your CMMS performing as needed.
Banetti consultants inspect various system characteristics to identify areas for improvement. We take a detailed look at system configuration, integration points, workflows, data structures, reports and customizations to provide a thoughtful look at opportunities to make high impact changes. A major focus is the integrity of data in the CMMS. Whether due to upgrades from prior versions, data migration, or evolving system usage over time, nearly all systems carry a burden of orphaned records and broken pointers. While some of these may be innocuous, we often find these data issues affect inventory valuation, active asset lists, active PM generation, Job Plan usage and more. This sometimes also proves to be a good time to review asset, site and failure data hierarchies.
Customers that have been running their CMMS for more than a few years may have a relatively large number of customizations. Typically, these were done for valid reasons due to shortcoming in the software at the time. As the software versions have matured into richer, fuller functioned products the need for these customizations often ceases to exist. With this in mind, a HealthCheck is a good opportunity to evaluate moving closer to an out of the box configuration.
HealthChecks are typically conducted on site within the span of week. Banetti delivers a written report covering opportunities for improvement including with the level of effort required. We then review these findings so you can make informed decisions on how to prioritize your work.
Maintenance and Reliability are a discipline. They are a culture. Technology must support, enable and reinforce the right processes. Sometimes, new technical capabilities make it possible to change processes to be more efficient. Mobility apps are a great example. These opportunities must be recognized and capitalized on. Banetti’s consultants are software experts with years of experience as maintenance technicians. We often help our customers evaluate these options for improvement and guide their decision-making process. Often times we perform a blend of functional consulting and software services work to ensure that People, Process and Technology continue to support one another.
At times, changes and improvements to your end-to-end Enterprise Asset Management system and workflows need specialized attention. Reorganizations may change the way departments work together in a way that affects asset management. Perhaps you are at the point where a mobility solution makes sense and need help building a compelling business case or implementing the technology. Maybe it's finally time to investigate integrating your legacy ERP system with asset management.
Some of the areas we can help include the following:
- Backend integrations requirements analysis
- Compliance and regulation advisement
- Inventory management best practices
- Job Plan design
- Work Order Management process design
- Report concept design and implementation
- Business case development
- Mobile app implemtation
- Advanced analytics
Successful enterprise systems are known by how they deliver business value to the enterprise. Doing so is a blend of good system design, system support and an engaged user community. Solid support demands a well-trained IT staff. Strong system adoption requires a well-trained user base. Users that understand what the system can do for them will willingly use the system and help their peers realize the same benefits.
Ensuring that all the stakeholders are properly skilled and educated is essential. As a team of software experts with maintenance backgrounds, we understand users. We speak their language and know how to create training material that highlights the benefits to them. Because we architect and deploy these systems, we innately know how to train the IT and support staff on how to best support and operate the system. Banetti has standardized Maximo and SCHAD training material for administrators and users. We also can customize our training, support collateral, documentation and workshops to meet your specific needs.

Our clients tend to be understandably conservative when it comes to upgrading to the latest version of Maximo. Sometimes not upgrading causes problems: new versions bring better stability, fewer bugs and more features. But successful systems with large numbers of users can not afford to go down for long periods of time during upgrade cycles.
To solve this problem and keep our clients on software maker-supported versions Banetti offers Zero Downtime Upgrades:
- We reduce or eliminate downtime completely.
- No need for multiple upgrades to be performed.
- We can test, fix and modify during live upgrade cycles.
- We can provide full system- and interface-testing. No skimping.
- UAT will incorporate live data.
- Core team modification requests during testing are dynamically modified.
- The cutover to go live happens almost instantaneously.
